From the bread rolls to the bottled beer, everything about T.H.E Hospitality is rooted in local, including its founder – and now they want to give back to Northampton with a wedding competition package worth £2,800.
Starting out in the kitchens of Northamptonshire pubs at just 13, Tom Hewer’s T.H.E Hospitality, has become a leading light in the county’s food and drink scene with three pubs and three restaurants in its award-winning fold, including Hibiscus and The Orangery at Delapré Abbey.
Fresh bread and cakes are baked daily by their two bakers and all the meat is supplied from their own in-house butcher.
Now, one lucky couple can win a three-course wedding breakfast from The Orangery team as part of a unique Delapré Abbey competition to treat key workers to the wedding of their dreams.
Wedding with Thanks, which will see a couple say ‘I do’ next year, has been organised by the historic urban country house to thank and celebrate carers, key and essential workers in Northamptonshire who have gone above and beyond during the coronavirus crisis.
The prize package includes everything from wedding rings and stationery to a hair stylist for the bride, wedding cake, DJ and flowers, all donated by Northamptonshire businesses – including a meal from the one AA rosette restaurant.
And the happy couple can certainly expect a fabulous feast that showcases the best of Northamptonshire food and drink. The meal, which will be taken from The Orangery’s wedding menu, will feed up to 70 people and include a glass of Prosecco after the ceremony.
“Key workers are doing a brilliant job in these challenging times and it would be lovely to give something so special back to them,” says Paul Hewer, general manager of The Orangery. “We have a close relationship with Delapré Abbey and when we were asked whether we would support them on this project we couldn’t say no!
“We’ve worked closely on many of its weddings, and we always want to provide the best experience. Our belief is that your food and beverage experience should be one to remember – and we believe this most definitely will be.”
