Now one Northamptonshire business is making wedding hair decisions a whole lot easier with a fabulous bridal giveaway.
Seckingtons hair salon – which was named Salon of the Year by the British Hairdressing Business Awards – is offering one lucky bride a hair trial and bridal hair for the big day, as part of the Wedding with Thanks competition.
The competition, which will see one lucky couple say ‘I do’ next year, has been organised by Delapré Abbey to say thanks to a carer, key or essential worker in Northamptonshire who has gone above and beyond during the coronavirus crisis.
The prize package includes everything for a wedding of your dreams, from wedding rings and stationery to DJ and dinner.
The hairdressers, which has salons in Wellingborough Road and Broughton, Milton Keynes, has grown from a team of just five to more than 35 staff, and has even launched its own training academy for would-be hairdressers.
“I love my craft and I love my team, so each day I walked into the salon filled me with excitement,” says owner Johnny Seckington, who has been a hairdresser for more than 20 years and was a national finalist in three categories at the Aveda Pure Image Awards.
In the past, the salon has taken an active role in charity, raising thousands of pounds for WaterAid, so Johnny says he is delighted to be part of the competition.
“I walk my dog every day at Delapré Abbey and have loved seeing it being redeveloped. When I heard about this opportunity, I was very happy to help.
“We quickly realised during this pandemic that the key workers would be working super, super hard. We even put together a window display in Wellingborough Rd salon to say thanks – and we’ve had so many lovely comments from our previous clients, many of which are key workers and NHS workers. I really hope our contribution will make a key worker bride very happy.”
