    Fundraising Officer

    Salary: £15,000 per annum (21 hours p/week)
    Contract: Fixed term until January 2026, with option to extend subject to funding

    This post will play a key role in assisting in the development, management and delivery of Delapré Abbey’s fundraising strategy: particularly as we embark on a major programme of capital works to the 19th century stables, with the aim of transforming them into a wellbeing and wellness hub to benefit our visitors and communities.  Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, this will include supporting a range of projects across a wide spectrum of fundraising mechanisms including: donor engagement and development; fundraising in line with the strategic objectives; community fundraising; events; commercial marketing and Gift Aid opportunities (through events, the shop, and hospitality).

    The Fundraising Officer will work alongside consultants and the wider team to develop fundraising plans and applications for the project. Our consultants are managing major grant applications to support the project in the Stable Block and coworking and collaboration on fundraising strategy and implementation will be required, to ensure that funding is in place to rollout the activity plans and day to day running of the Abbey.

    Head of Operations and Projects

    Salary: £35,000 plus per annum (D.O.E)

    The Head of Operations and Projects is responsible for leading the strategic and effective day-to-day operation of all aspects of the Trust, ensuring the Trust reaches its full potential. Maximising the potential of the Trust’s properties, landscapes, services, technology, and facilities for the purpose of delivering an excellent experience for all customers.

    The Head of Operations and Projects is driven by high quality, consistent, well organised, presentable, and inspiring venues, visitor attractions, services, and teams. With a focus on the future asset and operational needs, the post holder will also oversee the day-to-day control, ensuring that every detail is considered in preparing and presenting fit for purpose operations. The post holder will oversee every aspect of operational planning that will ensure the sites are open, staffed, and well-resourced to meet customer and user expectations and Trust standards. The Head of Operations and Projects shall inspire and lead teams to develop and deliver high quality customer focused experiences. The post holder will ensure the development and delivery of the Trust’s strategic plan and importantly the masterplan that sets out key projects over the next 15 years. The head will also inform long-term operational, capital, venue, technology/IT and visitor attraction strategies.

    To be an exceptional line-manager and leader that motivates, enables and coaches a team of function and front-line specialists, of permanent, full/part time and seasonal/casual staff and volunteers. As a leadership team member, to inspire and motivate the whole team, present and communicate progress, success and performance and encourage everyone to make their very best contributions to the Trust and by negotiating, presenting and through engagement, the Head of Operations and Projects will be a strong leader, with exceptional communication skills, organisation and people management expertise providing confidence to all who they engage with. Through policy development and implementation, the Director will drive a consistent level of efficiency and effectiveness across all the Trust’s operations.

    The Head of Operations and Projects is performance driven and gains satisfaction from achievement, success and high performance. To represent the Trust and communicate complex and detailed projects and strategies to a very high standard to mixed audiences. To embrace and respond to working within a changing environment showing the initiative to develop and grow. To take responsibility for delegated or emerging activity deemed by the Chief Executive commensurate with the role.

    The Head of Operations and Projects has two direct reports. The post holder also has management of project contracted services as required. The Heads team all work together to share expertise to achieve success for the Trust, and support the development of a high performing environment.
