An English Tradition

The English custom of taking Afternoon Tea was popularised in the 1840s by Duchess Anna Maria, wife of the 7th Duke of Bedford.

While labourers sometimes had a small sandwich or scone brought from home with their tea, the Duchess and her friends would have enjoyed afternoon tea in more comfortable surroundings.

Enjoy a freshly made selection of sandwiches, cakes and a freshly baked scone with your choice of fine quality teas or locally roasted filter coffee.

Adults Afternoon tea £14.95

Childs Afternoon tea £9.95
