Christmas Fair

Enjoy a great day out for all the family at our annual Christmas Fair! Pick up unique, handmade gifts from local makers and a wide range of carefully selected stalls. There will be something for all ages with food and drink, live music, children’s activities, and a variety of workshops and craft activities.

Step into the warmth and wonder of a Victorian Christmas with an enchanting tour through our beautifully adorned Bouverie rooms. Discover festive traditions and elegant tales from the past as you explore the Abbey’s historic interiors, dressed in seasonal splendour.
Winter Light Trail

We are delighted to announce the Winter Light Trail is returning this Christmas! Get ready for a magical adventure through the grounds and woodland, filled with all-new installations, captivating soundscapes and interactive experiences as you embark on this year’s enchanting trail.
Santa's Grotto

Various time slots available.
Step into a magical winter wonderland and meet Santa Claus himself! Children can share their Christmas wishes, receive a special gift, and make unforgettable festive memories.
Your visit includes a 5 minute slot with Santa, a special gift and an arts and crafts activity.
SENDta's Grotto
SUN 29 NOVEMBER – TUE 22 DECEMBER
Between 10AM-12PM.
Step into a magical winter wonderland and meet Santa Claus himself in a quieter and calmer atmosphere. Children can share their Christmas wishes, receive a special gift, and make unforgettable festive memories.

Santa Paws

Your four-legged friends are invited to come and visit Santa’s Grotto! Treat your pup to a magical Christmas experience with their very own meet-and-greet with Santa, complete with cute photo moments, and a dog-friendly gift.
Murder Mystery

Join us at the historic Delapré Abbey for an unforgettable evening filled with dining, drama, and interactive fun that will keep you on the edge of your seat. As you navigate through the intriguing plot, you’ll have the opportunity to gather clues, interrogate suspects, and piece together the puzzle to uncover the truth behind the crime.
Wreath Making

Various time slots available.
Make your own Christmas wreath using natural materials sourced from the abbey grounds. Learn the art of making a wreath from scratch, using buff willow as the base, and decoration from natural foliage and Christmas decorations.
Victorian Candlelit Tour
MON 07 – TUE 8 DECEMBER
6PM-7:30PM
Discover festive traditions and elegant tales from the past as you explore the Abbey’s historic interiors, dressed in seasonal splendour. Your evening concludes in the grand dining room, where port* and fine cheeses await in a softly lit, atmospheric setting, perfect for soaking up the spirit of the season!
Don't Go into the Cellar Theatre

Join the great Victorian novelist Charles Dickens as he brings to life one of the most famous ghost stories of all time in the Cellars of Delapré Abbey. A tale of revenants and redemption, hauntings and humbug, seasonal spooks and sentiment.
The Nutcracker and the Mouse King

With the chiming of the grandfather clock strange things begin to happen… Why are the dolls all coming to life? And why are mice pouring up from beneath the floorboards? Enjoy an enchanting mix of magic, music and love-conquering-all in this Christmas classic for all the family from Quantum Theatre.
