COVID-19 update: November 2020

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this difficult year and helped us to care for and celebrate this wonderful, historic place and our amazing community. Following the weekend’s announcement by the Prime Minister, the house will close for general admission on Thursday 2nd November. We will reopen on Thursday 3rd December with the house dressed for Christmas. If you’ve booked to visit us during November then look out for an email from us outlining next steps.

Throughout November, The Orangery will remain open daily from 10am to 3pm for takeaway service. Book an Afternoon Tea online at delapreabbey.org/store.

Both The Orangery and Hibiscus are in the process of contacting those who have booked a table to discuss next steps.

The grounds and Walled Garden will remain open for all to enjoy. Please follow the social distancing markers on the floor to ensure that you stay safe during your time with us. For your safety, the public toilets will be closed during this time so please bear this in mind when planning your visit. The Walled Garden will be open from 10am until 3pm and is free to access. If you’re looking for fun ways to entertain the little ones during this time then download our free outdoor trail from Friday 6th November.

We’ll be announcing new dates for our sold out November Wreath Making workshops shortly. All tickets will be transferred across automatically. If you’re unable to attend then we will outline the steps for obtaining a refund.

We appreciate your understanding and hope that you all stay safe during these times. We look forward to welcoming you back on 3rd December for a busy month of festive activities. We’re a registered charity so if you’re looking to support us then please consider taking a look at our online shop, purchasing an Annual Pass, booking your wedding with us, or visiting The Orangery during November – all of which will help us to continue our work.
