For our opening week (Saturday 17 March – Friday 23 March 2018) the Abbey will be open from 10am for free flow. Tours will start from Saturday 24 March.

The main Abbey can be explored with a guided tour in the mornings or free flow from 1pm. The route you take is up to you and the space is yours to enjoy. Learn about the lives of the nuns, navigate the labyrinthine, that is the Nine Rooms and be wowed by the spectacular Bouverie Suite.

The shop is stocked with wonderful gifts, crafts and produce from local suppliers. Pocket money gifts, souvenirs and stunning artwork can all be purchased to suit every taste and budget. Our café also provides an excellent excuse for an indulgent treat! Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and Sunday lunch, you’re sure to find something to get the taste buds tingling.

How to get here

Delapré is ideally situated to visit from all parts of the country. Easily accessible by car from the A45 or M1, the Abbey feels like a breath of fresh air in the heart of Northampton. We also have easy links by bus and rail. Car parking is free.

Look around the rooms

Whilst wandering the corridors and rooms, you will experience the atmospheres of history for yourself. In our main Victorian Suite, you can make like the lady of the house by reading a book in the Library, relaxing in the Drawing Room and admiring the spectacular ceiling in the Dining Room. Discover items which represent a key part of the history in the Nine Rooms and experience the rustic charm of the Medieval Zone. You might even spy a wandering nun…
