Now that’s wedding entertainment

One engaged couple could be rolling out the red carpet and adding a touch of star-quality to their wedding next year.

Northampton’s Potter Group – who organised the entertainment at the wedding of Arsenal and England footballer David Seaman at Castle Ashby – is offering a £1500.00 wedding entertainment prize to a keyworker couple who have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the coronavirus crisis.

The entertainment, lighting and event management company is offering a wedding MC, professional evening DJ, event audio, event lighting, and entertainment management worth £1500.00, as part of a fabulous ‘Wedding with Thanks’ competition.

The Delapré Abbey competition, which will treat a Northamptonshire essential worker couple to the wedding of their dreams, includes everything from wedding rings and stationery to hair styling and wedding cake – all generously provided by Northamptonshire businesses.

Potter Group’s company director Matt Potter is no stranger to luxurious occasions, working with a star-studded list of previous clients including various members of the Royal Family and for the Mercedes F1 team at the British Grand Prix.

Among his previous events, he was responsible for organising entertainment at the wedding of Northampton Saints and England international rugby union captain Dylan Hartley, and the after-show party for the actors and crew of the Kinky Boots performance at the Royal & Derngate. In fact, he has totted up over 2,000 satisfied clients in the 14 years since the business’s inception.

Matt is joined by a team of highly-trained professionals including lighting designers, audio technicians, marquee experts, DJs, event managers, entertainment managers and event MC’s.

We pride ourselves on our sophisticated, high-quality service – and impressive state-of-the-art technology that is suitable for any occasion, whether you want an intimate and sophisticated wedding or elaborate and lavish one. Each event is tailored to meet the individual client’s requirements,” says Matt, who started out as a show assistant on BBC Radio and also appeared as a contestant on Cilla Black’s Blind Date in the late 90s.

We are very keen to do all we can to give something back to the key workers in the NHS who have worked so hard during this challenging time,” adds Matt, who has managed event entertainment across the home counties, London and also DJ’d clients weddings abroad. “As a local company from Northampton, we are very pleased to have the opportunity to support Delapré Abbey, be a part of this wonderful team and its future success as a first choice wedding venue.
