She Speaks is an inclusive platform creating space for women to connect, learn and share through honest, empowering conversations.
We bring women and diverse voices together to explore the experiences that often remain unspoken, from health, hormones and relationships to identity, culture and wellbeing.
Through shared stories, expert insight and open discussion, She Speaks helps women feel seen, heard, informed and less alone.
Our Panellists:
Join three amazing panellists, ChiaraLuna, Esther Ruth and Laura Graham, hosted by the warm, and wonderfully humorous Leena Patel.
Together, they’ll share their personal experiences and professional insights as they explore hormones, perimenopause, menopause, neurodivergence and embodied wellbeing.
Expect real-life stories, open conversation, shared wisdom and plenty of laughter as we reconnect with our bodies and navigate change together. Real women. Real stories. Real change.
Leena Patel (Host)
Mum to two neurodivergent girls, wife, proud Desi woman and challenger of cultural taboos, Leena loves honest conversations about the things we’re often told not to talk about. At 46, she’s navigating the chaos of perimenopause and menopause with plenty of hot flushes, forgotten words and unexpected plot twists along the way. A lover of travel, food, laughter and a good conversation, Leena brings warmth, honesty and humour to conversations about bodies, relationships, sex and everything in between. Because if we can’t laugh through the chaos, what’s the point?
ChiaraLuna (Panellist)
ChiaraLuna is a feminine yoga teacher, womb guide, and facilitator of sacred women’s circles. Since 2014, she has been supporting women in reconnecting with their bodies, their womb wisdom, and the cyclical intelligence of the feminine.
Drawing from years of study and personal experience, her work weaves together Yoni Egg practice, pelvic floor awareness, yoga, Yoga Nidra, sacred sexuality, tantra-inspired practices, Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, lunar rituals, essential oils, and energetic healing. Her approach is gentle, trauma-aware, and rooted in the belief that true healing begins through presence, awareness, and a loving relationship with the body.
Through her teachings, Chiara creates safe spaces where women can rediscover pleasure, inner sovereignty, sensuality, and the sacred connection to themselves. She is the founder of the Chiaraluna Academy, an online community dedicated to feminine spirituality, embodiment, and cyclical living.
Her intention is to inspire women to remember that the body is not something to fix, but a sacred home to honour, trust, and return to.
Esther Ruth (Panellist)
Esther Ruth is a neurodivergent mum who discovered her own late diagnosis thanks to perimenopause…the plot twist she never saw coming.
After years of navigating a demanding corporate world, her ability to mask and “hold it all together” began to unravel the moment the hot flushes hit. Senior leadership, workplace toxicity, and perimenopause are hard enough, but add in losing the ability to self‑regulate or even finish a sentence without your brain wandering off, and things get interesting.
As the founder of Neurodivergent Ally, Esther brings humour, empathy and a big dose of self‑love to her talks.
She now supports neurodivergent women to understand their brains, their hormones, and the unique challenges of perimenopause and menopause, so they can thrive rather than simply survive.
Laura Graham (Panellist)
Laura Graham is a Northampton-based freelance MarComms Consultant and award-winning Community Activist.
Currently, her biggest ‘project’ is navigating the wild ride of perimenopause at 43, after being told by 4 different doctors she was “too young”. 4 years of tears, frustration, confusion and thinking she was going slightly mad finally led to a diagnosis and medication.
Laura will be sharing the good, the bad and the ugly of perimenopause with the hope of helping others to become more informed and prepared for this life-changing stage.

With over a 900-year history, this stunning mansion has much to investigate.
Delapré has played a big part in our history during the War of the Roses. The grounds are a nationally protected Wars of the Roses battlefield… sightings of residual hauntings of a battle still play out today. In 1460, the Battle of Northampton between King Henry VI, Henry, and the Earl of March. The King was taken and held prisoner within the Abbey overnight before being transported to London the next day.
So, what spirits continue to live in their family home?
The ghostly apparition of a nun who visits the courtyard has been seen by staff and visitors; who is she, and is she going about her duties linked to the Abbey was it was a nunnery many centuries ago?
Join Haunted Heritage on our ghost hunt like no other.

This Grief Thing is a project that invites people to think, talk and learn about grief. We’re living at a time when many people find death and grief – our own grief or other people’s – almost impossible to talk about. We don’t know what to say, what to do, or how to act. So we stay silent, we pretend that grief doesn’t exist, or we hide it. This Grief Thing pushes against this, by opening up conversations about grief and making it visible.
As part of our wellbeing programme we are pleased to be working with Fevered Sleep who have created Grief Gatherings. They’re small, free group conversations about grief and they’re open to all. They’re for people who have experienced grief, and for people who haven’t. This will be an inclusive space. Any age, gender, race, faith welcome.
We’ll share thoughts, feelings, ideas and experiences. If you don’t wish to talk that’s fine, people are welcome to just be present.
This project is a partnership between Delapré Abbey and Fevered Sleep and is funded by Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

Are you interested in the paranormal? Perhaps you enjoy the darker side of history? Would you like to become a real ghost hunter for the night? Join the Brookes Paranormal team this Haunted October as they host a spine-chilling Ghost Hunt at the historic Delapré Abbey!
A Grade II listed building complete with histories dating from Medieval times to the Victorian era. Delapré Abbey was founded in 1145 by Cluniac Nuns, who came over from France and lived here for nearly 400 years, up until the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Delapré is also the site of the Battle of Northampton, fought between Yorkists and Lancastrians during the Wars of the Roses in 1460. It was the home of the Tate family for a few centuries, and later home to the Bouverie family during the Victorian period.
Ghost sightings and hauntings are commonly reported here, including the apparition of the Blue Lady seen in the medieval cloister, shadow figures spotted, apparitions of knights in full armour witnessed across the abbey and grounds, blood-curdling painful screams heard towards the battlefield, and the sounds of disembodied voices and religious chanting heard from inside empty rooms. With 900 years of dark and changing history, dare you join Brookes Paranormal for a thrilling paranormal investigation at Delapré Abbey this Halloween season?
Investigate and explore this unique haunted location after dark in small group vigils, guided by their professional and friendly lead investigators. On this event, you will get to utilise a variety of ghost hunting equipment, including EMF Meters, Temperature Detectors, REM Pods, Dowsing Rods, Spirit Boxes and more. You will also get the chance to take part in different paranormal experiments like Victorian Table Tipping, the Estes Method and even the Ouija Board. But most important off all, you’ll get to use your own senses to see what you might experience inside this incredible historic building, as you attempt to find out what spirits still roam this site and hopefully communicate with the resident ghosts of Delapré Abbey.
Are you and your friends/family brave enough to face the unknown?

Gobby Girls are coming to Delapré Abbey for one big night of comedy, chaos and questionable behaviour.
Fresh from the world of TV, comedy and the internet, Gobby Girls brings together a brilliant cast of female comedy talent for a night of gloriously unfiltered sketches, characters and silliness after two sold-out runs at London’s infamous Soho Theatre.
Expect big laughs, sharp observations, ridiculous characters and plenty of gob as the Gobby Girls take on everything from dating and friendship to work, family, social media and the absolute state of modern life.
Written, directed and starring all women – imagine that?
And this isn’t just a comedy show – it’s a party. Come dressed up, bring your mates, grab a prosecco and get ready to have a proper night out at one of Northampton’s most beautiful venues.

Wednesday 11th November 2026 | 6PM – 7:15PM
Free to attend (booking required)
On 26 April 1945, RAF Lancaster PD339 of No. 50 Squadron crashed near Delapré Home Farm as it returned to its base in Lincolnshire. The aircraft and crew were on the final stage of their journey after taking part in Operation Exodus, the repatriation of Allied prisoners of war following their liberation.
This fascinating and moving talk explores the events leading up to the tragic crash, which occurred just one day after the end of Bomber Command’s bombing operations in Europe. It commemorates the courage and sacrifice of the crew of Lancaster PD339 and pays tribute to all those who served in Bomber Command during the Second World War.
The talk will be presented by Roger and Bill, volunteer historians at Delapré Abbey, who have spent many years researching this event. Through their dedication, they have developed a deep understanding of the crash, built close relationships with the descendants of those connected to the tragedy, and helped ensure that the story of Lancaster PD339 continues to be remembered. Their research and fundraising efforts also led to the installation of two memorial benches within the grounds of Delapré Abbey. One stands close to the crash site in honour of the fallen airmen, providing a lasting place of reflection and remembrance for visitors and relatives alike. Together, these memorials serve as a fitting tribute to the crew and the sacrifice they made in the closing days of the war.
